The Asset.tv service is fully interactive and archived, allowing professionals to view interviews at leisure, or selecting only those parts of an interview which are of most interest.

Website Minimum Requirements

Viewer Computer

All content runs within a web browser over the Internet, with all media being delivered using Adobe Flash in conjunction with Javascript. Videos are streamed on demand. Standard videos are streamed at up to 350Kbps.

Required:

Adobe Flash Player version 9 or higher
An Internet browser supporting Flash and Javascript (Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Firefox 1.0 or higher)
Sound card with attached speakers or headphones
Internet connection of at least 400Kbps (512Kbps recommended)
Hardware & operating system supporting the above (Windows XP or later, MacOS X, Linux)

For the best user experience we recommend the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Network

In addition to standard web access (HTTP 1.0 and 1.1 over port 80 and SSL access over port 443), for the best user experience and for the ability to watch live streams additional network access is required.

All videos are streamed using Adobe Flash Video, streamed using RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol). In addition to direct streaming we also support streaming over alternative ports and "tunnelled" streaming.

If streaming access is not available, "progressive downloads" are used which are standard HTTP requests. If this method is used certain features will be unavailable.
